Facebook is quite possibly the best site for networking personally and professionally. It boasts over 83 million members and growing some millions more every month. There are many social media websites to choose from but none can give you the all around professional and personal experiences like Facebook can.

I will discuss a lot of marketing tactics you can use on Facebook to grow your community of friends and potential customers for your business. See if you can start commenting on other peoples profiles. These people can be friends, family, customers, associates, etc. If you don't know the person you send a comment to, find something of interest on their profile and comment about it. That way you are showing an interest in them. Leaving comments on a persons profile helps to increase your exposure to your profile.

Create an events page and invite all your friends and associates. List your events in your profile to let everyone aware of your event. This is an excellent way of launching a new business or service. As people RSVP for your event, you can get feedback from your guests about attending and other details.
