Blogs can offer you a great opportunity to make more money from the internet. There are many people earning a full time income just from blogging. The great thing about blogs is that you do not even need your own domain name because you can get a blog for free at many places like Blogger and Yahoo 360.

A blog is simply like an online diary and should contain your honest opinions and views on certain topics you decide to write about. The best approach is to create one or a handful at most of blogs and then focus on adding the best and most useful content you can find. Remember that the content is one of the main keys to the success of your blog.

The first step is to decide the topic of your blog. Of course you want to stay in a niche that has many potential buyers and searchers. It is important to do your keyword research so make sure you are using a tool like the free overture keyword tool to check the number of searches for the main keywords in your niche. If there are over sixty to seventy thousand searches in a month then the niche may be profitable.

Once you have found a niche the next step is to select a name for your blog. If this is your first blog then use the Blogger platform since it is owned by none other than Google themselves so it is a great blogging service. Pick a name that is keyword rich, target the main keyword in your niche, this will help you to rank better for that keyword. The next step is to pick a template. Try to select one that is as unique as possible however do not worry too much about the template.

If you want you can customize your template and add a header image if you like by editing the html of the template. This is often a good idea since it will separate your blog from every other one and help to make it look unique. Photoshop is a great tool to help you create great headers, you can download a free trial from their site and make sure to learn from the vast array of free tutorials that are available on the internet that can show you how to make great looking header graphics.

The next step is to create content for your blog. Make sure that your content is as unique as possible. If you like you can add articles from article directories but do not rely on them solely. The best way to create content is to become like a researcher and learn all you can about your niche. Truly become an expert that people can rely on and trust. This will help you to create great posts that are also original. Learn from other experts in your niche and read their articles and visit their sites to learn more.

When using blogger it is best to not make more than 1 quality post per day otherwise you may get flagged for spamming. The best way to promote your blog without spending money on advertising is probably article marketing. You need to write quality articles on your niche around 650 words and submit them to major article directories like Ezinearticles. Also add your blog to as many link directories as possible.

You can even use article submission services to automate the submitting process since it can get tedious. This way you can focus on writing good quality articles instead of spending hours submitting them. Add 1 new post per day and continue promoting via articles to build greater web presence for your blog. Have patience and give your blog at least six months to grow and mature. Add affiliate links to the side of your blogs or at the bottom of your posts.

In time your blog may rank well in the search engines and you could receive very good levels of free traffic which you can then further monetize with adsense too. The key to all of this is consistency so keep at it and put the effort in that is necessary to make it work.

Many Moms and Dads have a home based business while raising their children at the same time. Any parent can do it. Here are some ways you can make it work.

A. An Assigned Work Area.

Your work area is probably the most important aspect of a home business. It is the place you go to perform your work with minimal distractions. Children's toys, household items, clutter and other non work related items need to be removed. Only work related items should be there allowing you to maximize your time and efforts allowing you to work undistracted maximizing your productivity

B. Manage your work by making manageable time chunks.

Your time is your most valuable asset and you have to manage it. It is often impossible for a stay at home mom or dad to allow large slots of time to work on their business. Instead break it down it to time slots that you know are available during the day. If you are like most stay at home parents you have a good idea of your children's schedule, use their nap times and activity times when you know you will not have to split your attention to your advantage.

C. Your best time might be when everyone else is sleeping.

Often parents find they have to many distractions during the day. There may be phone calls that have to be made while other parents and friends are also calling you. Household chores and problems can consume most of their free time and of course the children need your attention.

The solution could be working at night after everyone else has gone to bed or early morning before any one else is awake. This allows the stay at home parent the time they need to give full concentration to their business making them more productive and more successful.

D. Your family must always be your priority.

It is very easy to get wrapped up in your business and especially so when you see progress and success. Everyone who has a home business wants it to succeed and they want it to make them money. Your business success can not take away from your family time for any reason.

This not only makes for a healthier family it allows make for a stress free work environment. For most it is hard to concentrate while family issues are present.

E. Look for people who can help when you need it.

If your business has grown to a point where it requires more than a few hours a day or can't be done successfully while everyone else is sleeping it is time to get some outside resources to help you.

The best place to look would be in your own neighborhood. Because many families are made up of two working parents neighborhood day care centers and pre-schools have become popular. Family and friends can also be helpful and often you can find a neighbor who has a small day care in their home.

F. Possibly your most valuable asset, taking time off.

If you truly want to be successful you need to have time off away from work. Many people who have attained a measure of success fail to take the time to enjoy it. But it is something you must do. Set business hours and stick to them. It will give you time to truly enjoy your family and it will give them time to enjoy you.

To really enjoy your business you should take the time to look at what it has done for you and what it can do for you. Often it is beneficial not only to you but to your children and spouse. Knowing it is beneficial to everyone you will have a sense of accomplishment very few actually enjoy.

When a prospect tells you they don't have any money do you accept it? How about when they tell you they want more money? Both are a sales trap that result in "no sale" for you. When a prospect tells you these things is sounds very logical. Your natural reaction is to move on or wait until the will have money if they don't have money now. In nearly all cases you're missing an opportunity, but you don't realize it.

Lack of money is nothing more than an objection to get you to go away because what your offering isn't valuable to them. No one buys anything unless whatever they're buying is worth more to them than the money they have to part with to get it. It doesn't matter whether you're dealing with people in the upper spectrum of wealth or the lower. People will only buy the things that are more valuable to them. A local roofer likes to tell the story about showing up to do a job one day, and being told by the home owners that his services wouldn't be needed after all. Now the roofer could plainly see that the roof hadn't been repaired and that the damage to the roof was enough to cause internal structural damage to the interior of the home if not now, in the very near future. So he asked the home owner if they had a lower bid, or what had caused them to change their minds. The home owner got a big grin and invited the roofer into their home to show him the new big screen TV they purchased instead of repairing the roof. The home owner explained they could get the roof repaired later, but that they needed the TV to watch the upcoming big game.

No matter who you're talking to or what you're trying to sell them lack of money is the prospects way of saying you haven't demonstrated value to them. It's your job to figure out what they really want and why that's important to them. If you don't you have a "no sale". This is also true if a prospect tells you they want more money. No one actually wants more money they want what money can buy. When you hear a prospect say they want more money your natural instinct is to sell more money. But that is a fatal mistake because you're going down the wrong trail.

When you try to sell more money you'll soon find yourself walking away without a sale. When a prospect tells you they want more money you have to find out why they want more money. What would it mean for them, allow them to do, allow them to have, or allow them to be?

No matter how you make decision or how you think other people make decisions the evidence is irrefutable that the real driver is emotional. When you hear they don't have enough money, or they want money you now know you have more work to do to get the insurance sales you want. Don't walk away, or jump ahead trying to make the sale when you hear either of these money statements.

Slow down and step back. This is where you have to go to work and discover the underlying truth. Discover what they really want, and how it would impact them to have it. Help them to discover how your solution will help them to get what they want.

There's a lot of debate these days about whether squeeze pages still work for list building.

The "squeeze page", or "forced opt-in", offers a bribe (often a report, audio, or video) in exchange for the visitor's contact information (most notably their email address).

This technique must be used carefully -- it can build your list, but can also drive away potential customers.

Considerations you should take into account...

Growing your email list is the surest way to grow your business, sales and profits.

It's a different world today than it was even six months ago: it's just plain harder now to convince skeptical web surfers to give up their email address. Done wrong, a squeeze page can harm your business. Done well, it can grow your profits quickly and easily.

It's best to use a squeeze page on a site that is built to sell one product. For example, if you have a site that features a sales letter selling a particular product or service, placing a squeeze page in front of the information about that product or service is a good idea. This keeps readers from being distracted; it sifts and sorts potential buyers by level of seriousness; and it gives you a list of interested parties that you can go back and market to repeatedly.

One of the biggest mistakes I see being made online is putting a squeeze page in front of the wrong kinds of sites.

Don't put a squeeze page in front of your portal site, your branding site, or your blog. Putting a squeeze page in front of those kinds of sites does not make sense. Those sites have a very different purpose than sites that are intended to sell one targeted product or promotion.

Just keep in mind that your squeeze page is a barrier to what is behind it.

It keeps people out of your website and it can potentially scare off your customers.

If you have a strong enough offer, a video, an audio, or special report, you may be able to get people to opt in and build a very targeted list using a squeeze page.

Why are people more reluctant and wary about giving up their email address? Spam, viruses, scams, and spyware are a few reasons.

The bottom line: squeeze pages work. I use them, and I think you should do. The key is to use them in the right situations.

A few weeks ago I decide to join another marketing program to build my income. The plan is solid and the opportunity to achieve my goals is there. I'm happy with the program and what it has to offer. Unfortunately I'm not very happy with my progress. Being new at this particular program but not new at marketing I didn't pay very much attention to the details. In particular, the marketing plan.

I've seen my share of advertising and marketing companies who offer nothing of any real value. Unfortunately when it comes to Home Based businesses there is more than a fare share of nearly worthless programs. Most wanting to take money out of the pockets of unsuspecting newbies without offering any real value in return.

There are many other programs available to help the newbie grow his business. Often these programs promise to make them wealthy in a short period of time. Mentoring programs are on the top of the list. While there are a few that will actually produce very good results if the new marketer stays with the program long enough. Most simply do not provide quality results.

For me these were not real helpful and for most Network/Affiliate marketers they are not worth it. Neither of those are Niche markets and they definitely are not tight. So it ended up being more wasted money I didn't need to spend.

Although I think I know it all it turned out I am a very slow learner. I've been getting what seems like a million emails all from companies I've spent money on and worse yet, one's I simply inquired about. The email campaigns are ruthless. They are also ineffective because I'm not interested, but they send them anyway. So I religiously as if it is a duty quickly delete the emails and empty the trash.

As a know it all it can be hard to learn new tricks, often to my own demise. Such is the case this time. I diligently searched for new ways to market my new program while I completely over looked the program itself. This new program had a terrific money making business plan. What I didn't see until I decided to read their material is they also had a terrific marketing plan. It's kind of like taking time to "stop to see the Roses" or "seeing the forest through the trees". I was blinded by my quest and the over whelming number of emails it produced.

I have looked at many marketing programs over the years and almost all of them have a marketing strategy in place. I'll admit that some of them are very weak and won't really produce like most want but they are there anyway.

Having looked at many online opportunities and promotional companies I known there are many companies that will simply sell the new person a bill of goods and products that simply will not work. The online marketing industry is huge and a large percentage of it is aimed at the inexperienced newbie knowing very well their thirst for success will cause them to buy into their program no matter if it holds real value or not. Unfortunately there are far to many new people who are just starting out with a home based business that fall for the traps and spend money on things that will not work.

Many online companies have been around for many years and are experienced in promoting their business. Many of the newer companies have been started by people who have been in the online business for years and have a lot of experience to offer. They all want their company to succeed and they know their success depends on the success of their representatives. Most offer top notch marketing strategies and products that will not only build their company but they will also build yours. Your company needs to be the first place you look for successful marketing ideas.

What do you know about vending machine companies? If the answer is very little then you need to work hard to find out all you can before you buy any vending machines. Some people think there is a chance of getting ripped off if they buy a vending machine from a private individual. While this is true, many unsuspecting people have lost what they have saved up for their vending machine business to a company as well. Some of them just aren't worth working with, you and need to understand why.

It is amazing the lengths some of these vending machine companies go to in order to get money from you. They may charge you for a particular type of vending machine and then deliver one that is worth much less. They may charge you for a new vending machine and you get a used one instead. There are also those individuals that buy a vending machine and later find out that it was actually stolen and it belongs to someone else.

To help you avoid all of these issues, make sure you look at the vending machines before you accept them. If they are damaged, they aren't what you ordered, or they appear to be used when the should be new - refuse to pay for them. If you paid for the vending machines in advance then you are just asking for problems to come up. If they ask you for a deposit then make sure it is very low and that you secure it with a traceable method of payment.

Some vending machine companies aren't real at all, just a front to get your money. This type of scam has become more popular with the use of the internet. Anyone can design a very nice website that features vending machines for sale. The reality of it though is that these vending machines may not exist. Once you send them money they disappear without a trace. Even though you paid them with a check or money order, there is no way for law enforcement to track them down.

Always check out the vending machine business with the Better Business Bureau. They will have a record of all the complaints filed on that business. This is a great way to evaluate them on your own. Make sure that you spell the name exactly as they have it so the right information is pulled up. Be suspicious if you can't find any information on a vending machine business anywhere on the internet.

With all of these vending machine scams, you can be sure the legitimate businesses have to work twice as hard. They have to proof that they are really going to deliver what they offer. You still want to check out their information though and verify it for yourself. Never assume that you are working with a legitimate business and be suspicious of all of them until you have the information to verify otherwise.

Before you buy a vending machine from any business, you need to find out the other options you have as well. Warehouse stores and wholesalers may be able to offer you vending machines for a better price. They also sell many other products and they have been in business for a very long time. You can even use them as your supplier for the vending machine merchandise.

No one sets out to buy a vending machine and then ends up being a victim of a scam. It does happen all the time though because too many people aren't aware of what can happen. The amount of money that a person has to come up with for a vending machine is a large sum of money to lose. Make sure you have the opportunity to by vending machines from a legitimate company so you can start seeing profits from your business.
